Walter Thomas Bess

Walter Thomas Bess, 74, of Upper Deerfield Twp. passed away on Tuesday, December 16, 2025 at Inspira Medical Center in Vineland.
Born in Americus, GA to the late Jerry Bess and Annie R. Carter Bess, he had been a Seabrook resident most of his life. He was most recently employed by Seabrook Brothers for nine years, prior to that he had worked Lanning Brothers Farms in Fairfield Twp. and Agmart. In high school, he ran track and field and enjoyed playing sports with his brother. Walter served his country proudly and was Honorably discharged from the United States Marine Corps. Walter was an accomplished songwriter and had written for artists such as Ross Winters and Cody Lyons. After the September 11th attacks, he wrote a song called "American Eyes" which was performed by Cody Lyons.
He is survived by; his brother, James Bess of Upper Deerfield Twp.; his cousin, Neil Mosley of Fairfield Twp.; and a host of cousins and other family. He was preceded in death by; his parents and his brother, Roderick Bess.
