Walter J. Davic

Walter J. Davic, age 78, of Strabane, passed away with his daughter by his side on August 9, 2025.
Born on December 8, 1946, he was the son of the late Marian and Walter Davic; loving father of Melissa Davic.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Judy Davic, and brother, Karl Davic.
Walter was a proud Vietnam Veteran, serving honorably in the U.S. Air Force. A true jack of all trades, he carried on his family's tradition as the third generation in the bar business, later ran his own construction company, and had an incredible ability to fix anything. His hard work, resourcefulness, and determination were admired by all who knew him.
Family and friends are welcome on August 14, 2025 from 2-4 & 6-8 pm at Pittsburgh Cremation & Funeral Care, 3287 Washington Rd., McMurray, PA 15317, 724-260-5546. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on August 15, 2025 at 10 am at St. Oscar Romero, St. Patricks Church, 317 W. Pike Street, Canonsburg, PA 15317. EVERYONE PLEASE MEET AT THE CHURCH. Burial will follow at Queen of Heaven.
Walter's daughter, Melissa would like to send a special thank you to the caregivers at the VA, Sue in Social Work, Jill the day RN, Susan the night RN, Karen from the heart failure clinic and Dr. Matthew O'Donnell, along with many others Walter and Melissa met along their journey.
