FEIN Walter Fein, age 91, of San Antonio, died Wednesday, December 1, 2010. Walter was a Boy Scout Leader for over 30 years, a Docent at the Institute of Texas Cultures for 14 years and was Temple Beth-El bulletin editor for 14 years. He was a 20 year member of the Texas Jewish Historical Association. Walter received the Presidential Community Service Award 2010 with over 15, 000 hours of lifetime community service. He is preceded in death by his first wife, Adele Kirsner Fein and his son-in-law, Rabbi Lawrence Jake Jackofsky. He is survived by his wife, Hortense Lyman Fein; children, Marshall A. Fein and wife, Debra, Ellen Fein Jackofsky and Randall J. Fein and wife Deborah; Hortense's children, Herb Lyman and wife, Jeannie and Hilary Lyman Kavy and husband, Neil; grandchildren, Branden A. Fein, Ashden Fein and wife, Priscilla, Doren M. Fein, Daniel S. Jackofsky and wife, Shoni, Harrison Jett Fein, Alexander Kale Fein and Hortense's grandchildren Michael Lyman, and Lydia Lyman Bergman and husband Steve. The family gives their special thanks to Dr. Anatole Trakhtenbroit, Dr. Jerome Fischer and the caregivers from All-Care. We will always remember his famous hand waves, sneezing and belly laughs. MEMORIAL SERVICE FRIDAY DECEMBER 3, 2010 3:00 P.M. TEMPLE BETH-EL OPPENHEIMER CHAPEL 211 BELKNAP RECEPTION TO FOLLOW The Rabbi Barry H.D. Block and The Rabbi Samuel M. Stahl officiating.
