Walter W Flyte

Walter W. Flyte, age 87 of Aurora, IL formerly of Sugar Grove and Yorkville, IL passed away on Saturday, March 22, 2025 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Downers Grove, IL. He was born on March 6, 1938 in Eau Claire, WI the son of Walter and Eileen (Connell) Flyte. Walter was united in marriage on April 12, 1985 in Yorkville, IL to Jacqueline "Jackie" Antrobus and they spent the next 30 years happily together until her passing on November 8, 2015. Mr. Flyte was employed by AT&T for many years, until his retirement. Walter was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and uncle who will be deeply missed by his family and friends. Walter was handy, smart, ingenious, and loved his family above all else. He was a true gentleman. Walter is survived by his daughters, Judi Lloyd of Missoula, MT, Trudi Cook of North Aurora, IL, and Beverli (James) Carlton of St. Charles, IL; his 8 grandchildren; his 15 great-grandchildren; as well as his siblings, Barbara, Sandie, Susan, John, and Lynn; also many nieces and nephews. He is loved and survived by many of Jackie's family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Eileen Flyte; his sisters, Mary and Jeanne; and his wife, Jacqueline Flyte. A Graveside Service for Mr. Flyte will be held at 12:00 PM on Saturday, May 17, 2025 in the Oak Ridge Cemetery in Sandwich, IL.
