Carol, Mr.& Mrs. Gomes & family, I have known Wally for most of his life. He was a very good and kind man. He would have done anything to help somebody in need. It's not going to be the same not seeing his smiling face at darts or around town. He will be sadly missed. I know what you're going through , I recently just lost my Mom Martha Moniz. Prayers and best wishes to you at your loss. Gretchen (Lister) Freitas

Carol, Mr & Mrs Gomes,
It has been two weeks and I still can not beleive Jay is gone. I feel lucky to have had the opportunity to have known the real Jay...he was a happy, smiling, honest and caring man who would do anything for anyone. He will be remembered forever.
I hope that as time goes by that your tears and sorrow are replaced with the wonderful memories that you have.
With Deepest Sympathy,

Words can never bring immediate closure to such unexpected moments in our lifes. Nor does it bring us the undestandings in why they happen to the very best of them.. Jay was not only our fellow worker
My basketball teammate... Jay was someone I had the pleasure to know and talk to during ALL those mornings, afternoons and game times during his workouts in keeping his body in the best of sharp... When I was first told of Jay's short stay with us...My first picture in my mind during that moment was his smile... Because not only did he do that...at the end of a conversation.. but he made many of us do that as well. Jay had a Great Attitude... And Attitude is a small thing that makes a BIG difference... So I send at my least a thank you to his family for being part of who he was as a man. Jay will be missed but not forgotten
God Bless your entire family
Sincerely
Security Officer and Friend

Aloha to the ohana (family) of Jay Gomes III. It is with much aloha (love) that we, the Kaua'i MK30 Shop personnel, send our condolences to you. Although we've known Jay for a while, we worked even more closely with him these last few years here on Kaua'i. He's been a tremendous help to the MK30 MOD 2 and MOD 1 Program in addition to being a good friend. We share your loss of this "small" but mighty man. Mahalo (thank you) and aloha pumehana (with fondest love)

Those of us who worked with Jay at Lockheed Martin will miss him more than words can express. He was a great engineer who really cared about his work and enjoyed his profession. May the peace of Jesus Christ be with his family at this very difficult time.

Carol, Mr & Mrs Gomes:
Those of us who have known Jay and played basketball with him in the mornings for a while are deeply saddened by the loss of our friend. Our prayers are with and our hope is that as the days go by God will comfort you and begin the healing process. That you would be surrounded by those who love you to give you that earthly shoulder to lean on.
He will be missed
