Walter Douglas Hodge was born July 20, 1968 in Syracuse, New York and passed away December 13, 2023 in Chester County, SC.
Doug is survived by his loving wife of 28 years, Connie Hodge, their son Ethan Hodge and daughter in law Alyssa Hodge, their son Austin Hodge and Austin's girlfriend Mikayla Parker, his sweet dog Shadow, his mother Patricia Hodge, sister Barbara Smith, and brother William Smith. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Doug was very family oriented and prided himself on doing everything in his power to provide for and make his family happy. He considered himself a professional problem solver and always made himself available to help anyone.
There will be a receiving for family and friends on Tuesday, December 19, 2023 from 4:00 to 6:00 pm at the Bass Cauthen Funeral Home Chapel. At 6:00 pm the family invites those who attend to remain for the eulogy reading.

Doug was a great friend and was always willing to help anyone that needed it. He was a man of many talents and skills and was always up for a challenge, whether it was working on cars, remodeling a home or working around his home. He always had a smile on his face and an entertaining story. Doug, you will be missed.
