Calvin Lewis Totherow

Calvin Lewis Totherow, age 87, of York, SC, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 24, 2025, at Dorn VA Medical Center. The family is hosting a celebration of life that will be at 11 a.m. on Friday, November 7, 2025 at York Wesleyan Church. The family will receive friends 30 minutes before the service from 10:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. Born in Lesslie, SC, Calvin was a son of the late Manuel McClain Totherow and Bertha Hardin Totherow. He was a United States Air Force veteran and later went on to become a construction contractor where he worked for many years before retirement. Calvin loved travelling, taking trips to the beach, and most importantly, he loved spending time with his family and friends. Surviving are his children, Tony Totherow (Karen), Billy Totherow, Andy Totherow (Priscilla), Shane Totherow (Paula), Penny Blake (Jeff); siblings, Charles, Dorothy, Lois; 10 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his loving wife, Carolyn Totherow, 3 brothers, Donnie, Early, Wayne and 4 sisters, Annie, Myrtle, Grovie and Sybil.
