Walter Otto Kaebisch III, known as Wally, died peacefully at home on November 4, 2024, with his loving wife by his side. Wally, a much-loved husband, father and friend, lived a long life of 82 years that began on August 12, 1942, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Wally is survived by his wife, Susan (Sue). They were together 31 years - married 21 of those years. Wally is also survived by his two daughters, Kristy Kaebisch and Sara Kaebisch, and two doggies, Rico and Teddy.
Wally spent most of his career in management. He also served in the United States Army Reserve for 6 years. Wally enjoyed thrifting, collecting and our yearly party every August.
Wally was a member of Alcoholics Anonymous for 36 years which taught him to live life on life's terms - one day at a time. Through the spiritual 'We' program of AA, Wally was granted a daily reprieve, not only from drinking, but also from his destructive patterns of his past. He believed that life was part of an ongoing process and whatever the day may bring - good or bad - this too shall pass.
Wally's funeral will be held on Saturday, November 16, 2024, at CHURCH AND CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME in West Allis - 7626 W. Greenfield Avenue. Visitation is from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. The service will be held at 3:00 p.m. followed by military honors.
In lieu of flowers, please send memorials to the Wisconsin Humane Society or Alcoholics Anonymous. Church & Chapel Funeral Service Serving the Family Milw. 262-827-0659 Wauk. 262-549-0659 Online Obit, Condolences, Directions churchandchapel.com
