Walter A. Kemp, Jr. (Tony, 92 yrs.) passed away after a brief illness, at his home in Pace, FL surrounded by his loving family.
Tony was born on October 19, 1931, in Chicago, IL. His life journey and Naval career took him to many different ports around the world. As a Vietnam veteran, he served as a HM1Corpsman in Chu Lai /Da Nang from July 1969 through July 1970. He retired in June 1974. He then moved to Wisconsin and dabbled in antiques and worked for the DOD. Returning to Milton in 1988, he worked part time for Wal-Mart for 15 yrs.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 47 years, Mary "Sue" Kemp, his daughter, Nancy Kemp Cook, and longtime companion, Betty Mullins.
He is survived by his son, Eugene Kemp, Phoenix AZ; daughters, Keota Kemp Lovett, Lillian, AL, Jodi Kemp Gipson, Hattiesburg, MS, and Toni Kemp Smirniotis, Phoenix, AZ; 10 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; and seven great great grandchildren.
A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday June 25, 2024, at Lewis Funeral Home Milton Chapel, 6405 Highway 90 W Milton, Florida 32570, with visitation from 2:00-3:00pm and service at 3:00pm.
