It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our father Walter George Libhart who is now with his savior in heaven. He passed away peacefully on May 31, 2025 at the age of 85. He was born on January 22, 1940 in Kerens, Texas to Hubert "Hughie" Monroe Libhart and Jewel (Hardaway) Libhart. Walter G. He is survived by his wife, Jimmie Faye Libhart and her grandson, Ian, whom they were raising together; daughter, Tracey Reynolds and husband, David Reynolds and their children, Jaygen Milligan, Brady Reynolds, and Payton Concepcion Reynolds; daughter, Ginger Armstrong and husband, Brent Armstrong and their children, Anthony Armstrong, Rachel Harris, Heather Armstrong, and Leslie Armstrong; daughter, Amy Libhart and her children, Levi Libhart and Tuker Libhart; siblings Ruth Lundell, Robert and Ellen Libhart, and Alice Libhart; and seven great-grandchildren. Walter was a pastor for over sixty years. An avid bird lover, he enjoyed gardening and planting flowers. Walter was a real people pleaser and always enjoyed a good potluck meal. He found joy in the newness of life whether it was raising baby chicks or watching his grandchildren grow. His legacy will live on for generations to come.
