Walter McGill Obituary
Walter was born on June 22, 1944, at his family home in McDonald, TN, where he spent most of his life.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Emma McGill, and siblings Ralph "Chick" McGill, Bobby McGill, Betty (Ed) Davis, Mary (Ronnie) Parker, and Della Rodie.
Walter is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Charlotte McGill; daughters Theresa McGill, Tonia (Steve) Ricketts, and Emmy McGill; grandchildren Brittany Anderson (Patrick Ellis), Sabrina (Jamey) Critchfield, and BJ Brownell; and great-grandchildren Hannah Quinn (Austin Shelly), Alyssa Anderson, Jason Anderson, Charlee Critchfield, Kalahan Critchfield, and soon-to-arrive Walter Hayes Critchfield. He is also survived by his sisters Lorene (Edgar) Swafford, Dorothy (Bill) Williamson, and Susie Hall, along with many extended family members and friends who will miss him dearly.
The family will receive visitors on Saturday, July 26th, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. at Valley View Baptist Church. A Celebration of Life service will follow at 4:00 p.m. Immediate family will gather for a private graveside service at a later date.

His ability to grow beautiful flowers and veggies will be missed. Mr.Magoo always waved when you drove by and was willing to share his abundance. I lied hearing Miss Lorene say, "I stopped at Magoos...." we love all of you and know he will be greatly missed!!
