Walter Edward Norris served his country receiving Purple Heart Combat Wounded 1959-1975, Seal Team Two Sniper award and awarded from US Navy Seal Vietnam Veteran & Da Nang Vietnam Veteran with pride and courage, carrying those same values of loyalty and commitment into every part of his life. He wasn't just someone who got things done, He poured his soul into everything he did, whether it was lending a helping hand, remodeling a project from the ground up, or simply being there when someone needed him most.
He loved the open road, the rumble of his motorcycle beneath him and the freedom that came with every ride. For him, life was about the journey about the people you ride with, the places you see, and the stories you create along the way.
He was deeply loved by those around him and his presence left a lasting impact on everyone fortunate enough to cross his path. His Humor, hard work and generous spirit will live on in the countless lives he touched.
He will be remembered not only for what he built with his hands, but for what he built with his heart: strong bonds, lasting memories, and a life well lived.
Walter Edward Norris III is survived by Wife- Linda Ann Norris
Children- Richie, Christina, William
Sister- Melody Brother-Mark
Step Children- Tabitha & Sebrina Rosales
Grandchildren- Trevor, Rebecca, Caleb, Garrett and beloved friends and Fur Baby- Jitterbug
Who will continue to carry his memory forward with love and pride.
He was preceded in death by Mother-Janice Norris and Father-Walter Norris II. Previous spouses- Linda Joy Norris & Judith Norris
Sisters- Leona Griffis, Debbie Durham, Mary Scarbough
Mother In Law- Alice Watkins Stepson- Alexander Rosales
Son In Law- Virgil Gill Daddy's Fur Girls- Bella & Cookie
A Celebration of his Life will be held on Saturday, September 27, 2025 at 11am at Lakeland Funeral Home 2125 South Bartow Road Lakeland, FL 33801.
Though he is no longer with us, the road he traveled will remain a guiding path of strength, resilience, and love.
