Walter Palmer Obituary

Walter grew up in the Converse Area near Randolph Air Force Base. He was a 1950 graduate of Brackenridge High School in San Antonio, Texas. He proudly served his country during the Korean Conflict in the United States Navy. His favorite job throughout his life was working for twelve years at Eastern Airlines. He and his family enjoyed many travels.
He is preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Grace Digulla and Mae Lea Lent.
Survivors include his loving wife of 69 years, Betty Palmer; son, Bradford Palmer; grandson, Brandon Palmer and wife Jennifer; great-grandchildren, Grace Palmer, Glory Palmer and Luke Palmer; numerous nieces and nephews, other loving family members and friends.
Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 11, 2024 at 1 p.m. at Tres Hewell Mortuary Chapel with the Reverend Tom Jones officiating. Private burial will be held in the Harwood Cemetery in Harwood, Texas.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude’s Place, Memphis, Tennessee, 38105-9959.

Brad and family, please know you are in our thoughts and prayers. Walter was a good friend, full of joy and happiness. Great memories from working with each other at the SA Airport. He will be missed by all that knew him, and I will be one of those many. Sincerely, Terry & Sharon Wong

Walter was a wonderful man who loved my kids and me like we were his own. He stepped up and in to be a surrogate grandfather to his great-neice and nephew. Taught them so many wonderful things and shared so much wisdom. And gave us all a lot of great memories, BIG fun and long good laughs. God bless you Uncle Walter. Thank you for everything you did. And, as you would say, "It´s all over but the cryin"
