Walter Pfisterer, 89, of Roselle Park, NJ passed away peacefully on December 22, 2024. He was born in Brooklyn, NY on June 6, 1935 to Otto and Helen (Barth) Pfisterer, both of whom had immigrated from Germany a few years prior. He attended Brooklyn Tech High School and later earned a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from CUNY. Walter served in the United States Army from 1957-1960 and was stationed in Kaiserslautern, Germany. He was previously married to Annalee Pfisterer (Alles) and together they had 4 children: Larry, Alan, Gena and Steven. He is survived by his son Alan and his wife Tracy of Wake Forest, NC; his daughter Gena and her husband Billy of Lindenhurst, NY and his son Steven and his wife Lisa of Massapequa, NY. He is also survived by 4 grandchildren Keri, Katelynn, Kimberly and Tara; and three great-children Niko, Ella and Vaeda. He resided in Roselle Park, New Jersey for 30+ years. Walter worked as an electrical engineer at Western Electric/AT&T in NYC, and later on in Berkeley Heights, NJ. He was proud of his German heritage and upbringing & was a 26 year member of the Deutscher Club of Clark, NJ. Walter had a love and passion for tinkering/fixing things, science, history and also enjoyed playing tennis. His warmth, love, humor and friendship will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
