Walter Albert Ricker

Walter A. Ricker 94, of Chambersburg passed away at home on February 9, 2026. Born September 9, 1931, to Albert Ricker and Emma (Bowers). He is survived by his wife of 73 years, Norma M (Rock) Ricker; seven children: Steven, Cynthia (Greg) Cross, Michael, David, Gerald (Melinda), Linda (Greg) Moser, and Brenda (John) Kerr; 24 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren and several great-great grandchildren.

Walter was preceded in death by his grandson D. Jonathan; brother Lawrence and sister-in-law Marion; nephew Gary Ricker, and his daughter-in-law Carolyn (Call).

He served in the US Army 1953-1954 during the Korean Conflict as a Wheel Vehicle Mechanic, with a tour in West Germany.

Walter was a man of many talents and was known as a Jack of all Trades. He was never afraid to try to learn something new. He played the bones at many of the local festivals that he and his sweetheart attended and was known as the Bone Man around Chambersburg.

He worked as an auto body mechanic for Frank Gayman Chevrolet - Oldsmobile and VT Angle & Sons Pontiac - Buick - Cadillac dealership. His last job was working for Sealtest (Kraft Foods) for over 30 years in numerous positions.

Funeral services will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 50 Ragged Edge Road, Chambersburg, Pa 17202, on February 16, 2026. The viewing will be held that morning from 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM. The service will begin at 12:30 PM.

Graveside services will follow at Parklawns Memorial Gardens, 3218 Philadelphia Avenue, Chambersburg, PA.

Arrangements are being handled by Sellers Funeral Home.
