Mr. Walter David Riner, 67, of Green Cove Springs passed away September 22, 2025. Walter was born on September 24, 1957, in Orange Park to the late Woodrow and Martha Riner and grew to be a cherished member of his community, known for his old-fashioned values, musical talent, and unwavering passion for helping others.
Walter was a loving husband to his devoted wife, Deborah Riner, and his spirit will live on through the countless lives he touched. His kindness and humor were a beacon to many, and he was often remembered for his caring nature, which reflected his deep commitment to the well-being of those around him. Walter's musical inclinations led him to create beautiful songs that provided inspiration and joy to others, showcasing his visionary ability to see the good in all things.
As an active member of his local church, Walter dedicated much of his time to prayer and service, embodying his Pentecostal faith with grace and resilience. He was deeply involved in community activities such as playing music for seniors and was often seen lending a helping hand wherever it was needed. Those who had the pleasure of knowing him reflect fondly on his care and support, and his favorite color, dark blue, will forever symbolize his steadfast spirit.
As we gather to remember Walter, let us rejoice in the light he brought to our lives and the incredible legacy of love and kindness he leaves behind. He may be gone from our sight, but he will remain forever in our hearts.
