Walter Louis Simpkins Jr., 85, of Nashville, Tennessee passed away on Friday, August 29th. W.L. was born to Walter Louis Sr. And Laura Jeane on September 23rd, 1939. He retired from the insurance business after a successful career as an agent in Nashville; but his most treasured role, husband, dad, pawpaw, and "Bobby". In his free time, he loved to shoot pool, cheer on both the Vols and the Titans, watch his grandsons play football, and spend time with his family and grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Walter Louis Simpkins Sr. And Laura Jeane Clarke Simpkins, he is preceded in death by his sons James Darin Simpkins, Walter Louis Simpkins III; one sister, Melinda Earle Simpkins; and son-in-law, Michael Coldiron. Those left to cherish his love and memory are his wife of 35 years, Nancy Alexander Simpkins; four daughters, Karen Lynne Coldiron, Kim Johnson (David), Terri Hall (Eric), and Sherri Jacocks (John); eight grandchildren, Tyler Ross Coldiron, Preston Hall, Tori Lynne Yon, Carson Hall, Kade Michael Coldiron, Hallie Hall, Kelsey Jacocks, and Allison Jacocks; one great-grandchild, Eason Michael Yon, and one on the way!; one brother, Gilbert Venance Simpkins. Those serving as pallbearers are, Tyler Coldiron, Preston Hall, Carson Hall, Kade Coldiron, David Johnson, Eric Hall, and John Jacocks; with John Temple officiating; and two honorary pallbearers, Justin Speakman and Felipe Espindola. Spring Hill Funeral Home & Cemetery are in charge of all final arrangements.
