Walter Wilson, Jr. was born on September 22, 1958, in Frankfurt, Germany to his parents, Barbara O. Schaffer and Walter Wilson, Sr. He was raised with his sisters, Gail E. Wilson, Margaret R. Wilson, and Marie E. Wilson. In his childhood, Walter enjoyed having snowball fights with friends. He also enjoyed riding his motorbike up and down 29th and Hudson where he liked doing tricks and stunts.
A graduate of Englewood High School, Walter furthered his education at the University of Northern Colorado, laying a strong sound blueprint. During this time, he became a proud member of Kappa Alpha Psi Inc. Walter devoted much of his professional career in Customer Support. He worked his way to becoming a Supervisor at MCI Telecommunications Incorporated where he worked for many years. He always performed his duties with a spirit of excellence.
Walter met a lovely lady named Lorraine Childress while living in Denver, they were later joined in holy matrimony on March 25, 1989 in Baldwin, Michigan. They enjoyed attending events together and sharing moments of laughter. To this union, Christopher M. Wilson was born.
He later gained an additional source of pride and joy with the birth of his grandchildren, Liliana and Cali Renee.
In his free time, Walter enjoyed spending time with Jerry Brooks and Eugene "Elmer" Wilkins. Together, they remodeled places, painted and fixed just about anything.
Walter is preceded in death by his parents Walter and Barbara Wilson, Sr. and sister, Gail Wilson.
Those left to cherish his memory include his beloved son, Christopher; granddaughters, Liliana and Cali Renee; sisters, Margaret R. Wilson and Marie E. Wilson; nephews, Taurean S. Wilson and Semaj K. Wilson-Hurst; niece, Kiah S. Wilson; as well as a host of great nephews and great nieces who will remember him fondly.
