A native and resident of Lutcher. She passed peacefully at Ochsner West Bank Hospital in Gretna on Friday, July 25, 2025. She was 66.
Visiting at Israelite Baptist Church, Lutcher on Saturday, August 9, 2025 from 9:30 a.m. until Religious Services at 11:00 a.m., conducted by Rev. Kevin Fredricks. Interment in Golden Wreath Cemetery in Lutcher.
Survived by two sons, Reginald (Davone) Batiste, Jr. and Jermand Hubbard, Sr. Sisters, Joyce Smith, Wintress (Lee Charles) Delmore, Lisa Riley and Linda Hoyal. Her brother, John (Penny) Hubbard. Grandchildren, Darryl Smith, III, Jermand Hubbard, Jr.. and Jayden Hubbard. Sister-in -Law, Annette Houston. Her brothers-in-law, Donald (Roxie) Batiste, Dale (Jowana) Batiste and Lionel Ezidore. Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Preceded in death by her parents, James Hubbard, Sr., and Felicia Jones Hubbard. Her husband, Reginald Batiste, Sr. Her daughter, Carolyn Hubbard Smith. Her brother, James Hubbard, Jr. Sisters-in-law, Delores Chandler, Brenda Placide and Joyce Gardner. Brothers-in-law, Thomas and Edward Batiste, Jimmy Smith, Sr.. and Dwayne Riley.
