Wanda Jean Bilyeu

Wanda J. Bilyeu, 89, of Monett, MO, passed away on Thursday, February 13, 2025, while at the Aurora Nursing Center after a decline in health.
Wanda was born on April 10, 1935, in Whitesboro, TX daughter of the late Arthur and Iva (Moore) Huie. Wanda graduated from Bakersfield High School in Bakersfield, CA.
For many years she was a real estate agent for United Farm Realty in Monett along with her husband for many years. She was a member of the New Site Baptist Church in Monett. Wanda and husband Hoy remodeled homes in the community enjoying the companionship of one another. She also enjoyed cooking and baking dinners for her family members.
On March 25, 1952, in Oildale, CA, Wanda Jean Huie and Hoy Lee Bilyeu were united in marriage enjoying almost seventy-three years of good memories together.
Wanda is survived by her husband, Hoy Bilyeu of the home; one son, Rodger Bilyeu and wife Karen of Purdy, MO; one grandson, Michael Lee Bilyeu and his mother, Susan Barton and stepfather, Rick of Monett; and a host of extended family and friends.
Wanda was preceded in death by her son, Mitchell Bilyeu; two brothers, J.B. Huie and Junior Huie; three sisters, Elene Skiner, Maudene Reeves and Lavada Sanders.
A private funeral service was held 2:00 p.m. Friday, February 21, 2025, at Buchanan Funeral Home in Monett, MO with Pastor Rocky Harris officiating. Interment was in the Oakdale Cemetery, Monett. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to
New Site Baptist Church. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Buchanan Funeral Home, Monett, Missouri.
