Wanda Lee (LaFountain) Boyce age 72, of Plattsburgh, NY, passed away at The University of Vermont Medical Center in Burlington, Vermont, with her loving family by her side.
Wanda was born in Plattsburgh on April 27th 1953, the first child of Norman and Kathryn (Mussen) LaFountain of Keeseville, NY.
In 1974 she married her husband James Edward Boyce and together they raised their 3 children.
She loved baking, crocheting, and spending time with family. Wanda loved her cats and found so much joy and companionship from each and every one of them. Her greatest joy was her children, grandchildren and great-granddaughter.
Wanda's favorite time of year was Christmas time, spent with her family.
Wanda was predeceased by her husband, James Edward Boyce; mother, Kathryn LaFountain; brother, Ricky LaFountain; and parents-in-law, William James Boyce and Nellie (Shade) Boyce.
She is survived by her father, Norman LaFountain; brothers, Skip LaFountain and Mark LaFountain; sister-in-law, Tricia Ward-LaFountain; sisters and brothers-in-law, William & Darci Boyce, Christine & Robert Reid, and Marie & Ted Trefz; her children, William (Bethany) Boyce, Jamie (Boyce) Dashnaw, and Kory (Holly) Boyce; grandchildren, Celia Boyce Ashline, Caden Ashline, Haille Perkins, Randy Brooks, Jr., Jyna-Joy Dashnaw, LJ Dashnaw, and Brooke Boyce; great-granddaughter, Saylor Ashline; and several nieces and nephews.
At Wanda's request there will be no funeral service. A celebration of life will be held in the spring, with further details to be announced when available.
Donations in Wanda's memory can be made to CATS Rescue & Adoption Services.
Arrangements are in the care of the Hamilton Funeral Home, 294 Mannix Road, Peru, 518-643-9055.
