Wanda Jean Castleberry was born on December 27, 1939 in Banty, Oklahoma to Ernest and Hazel (Hall) Stroud. She died on August 12, 2025 at Texoma Medical Center Denison, Texas.
Wanda was an amazing mother, even during the hardest of times. She was a gifted cook providing delicious and nourishing meals and desserts. She was known to be a tough, independent lady who fiercely loved her family.
She was a Christian who loved the Lord and her church and her fellow church members. Wanda was loved by her friends having known some of them for many years. She will be greatly missed by family and friends.
Wanda was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, Homer G. Rice and later by husband, Clinton Castleberry. She was also preceded by sons, Delbert Rice and Thomas Rice; and sister, Carolyn Stroud.
She is survived by daughter, Jennifer Farley and husband Eric of Bells, Texas and her son, Phillip Rice of Whitewright, Texas; granddaughters, Kerri M. Gibson of Madill, Oklahoma, Crystal Adair of Bells, Texas; great grandson, Austin Walling; daughter in law, Debbie Rice of Bells.
Cremation arrangements are with Mullican Little Funeral Home.
