Wanda R. Crabtree, age 88, passed away peacefully on December 2, 2022 at Blossom Nursing Home.
She was born on June 5, 1934, in Alliance, to Frederick M. and Mildred C. (Hawkins) Russell.
Wanda was a member of the Christian Broadcast Center. She enjoyed puzzles, crafting with her yarn loom and most of all she loved spending time with her grandchildren.
Those left to cherish her memory are her sons, Richard (Phyllis) Crabtree Sr., Donald (Mary) Crabtree Sr. and Kevin (Norma) Crabtree; her daughters, Linda Crabtree, Betty Crabtree and Sally Bennett; eighteen grandchildren; thirty-one great-grandchildren; sixteen great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Doris Miller; and brothers, Lowell (Donna) Russell and William (Tana) Russell.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Glen T. Crabtree; her daughter, Mildred Epperly; granddaughter, Sheri Fuller; great-great-grandson, Jaylyn Stewart-Crabtree; her brothers Edward Russell and Richard Russell; and her sons-in-law, Tom Bennett Sr. and Clayton Epperly Sr.
A funeral service will be held at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home on Friday, December 9th at 1:00 p.m. with a visitation two hours prior. Sister Marge Hazen will officiate. Interment will be at Alliance City Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Denny and Marge Hazen Ministries, P.O. Box 230, Louisville, Ohio 44641.
The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the staff at Blossom Nursing Home for their compassionate care for their mother.
