Wanda Lou Dennis Phillips was born October 8, 1927 in Dickens County, Texas and met her Lord November 14, 2025. She grew up near Spur and McAdoo, Texas with the exception of a stint in Compton, CA, where she graduated from high school. She returned to Texas following WWII where she worked in Lubbock until meeting her beloved husband, Ben T. Phillips, Jr. They were married in Lubbock in 1947. She was a prolific artist and taught classes for many years. She published a series of instructional books covering subjects such as south Texas scenery and rural landscapes. Her art is enjoyed by many who obtained her work during her career. She loved her family, her art, God and her church family.
