Wanda Eibel Obituary

Wanda L. Eibel, 89, of Oakmont, died on Feb. 26, 2025. Born June 14, 1935, in Acametonia, PA, she was the daughter of the late John and Dorothy (Kuslock) Walmsley and the wife of the late Gerard "Harp" Eibel. Wanda was a member of Christ the King Parish, St. Edward Church. She was very active in the church over the years, volunteering for many roast beef and spaghetti dinner fundraisers. She also devoted her time to helping Meals on Wheels. Wanda enjoyed reading and quilting. Above all, Wanda cherished the moments spent with her beloved family. Wanda is survived by her children, Cindy (Charlie) Snider, Thomas (Ellen) Eibel, and Kristopher (Tracy) Eibel; grandchildren, Sara (Jesse) Miller, Rebecca (Woody Carr) LeDonne, Gerard Eibel III, Jonathan (Madison) Eibel, Justin (Nicole) Eibel, Adam (Maria) Eibel, and Scott (Madeleine Franchi) Eibel; great-grandchildren, Finn Miller, Cruz Miller, Bronson Carr, Brinley Carr, and Isla Eibel. She was preceded in death by her son, Gerard Eibel Jr. Visitation will be held on Monday, March 3, 2025, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m., at SMITH FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY LTD, 930 Center Ave., Blawnox, PA 15238. Funeral Mass will be on Tuesday, March 4, 2025, at 11:00 a.m., at Christ the King Parish, St. Edward Church. Committal prayers and burial will follow in Lakewood Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, please make memorial donations to Aspinwall Meals on Wheels, 450 Walnut St., Pittsburgh, PA 15238.
