Wanda Regina Franklin

Wanda Regina Franklin, 58, of Douglasville, passed away on Monday, July 21, 2025. She was born on February 1, 1967, the daughter of the late Hoyt Wilkins and the late Margaret Dianna Brown Wilkins.
Wanda was a remarkable individual whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many around her. She was known for her independence and strength. Wanda was a woman with a big heart who consistently put others before herself. Her caring nature extended beyond her family and friends to encompass both children and the elderly, and she had a particular fondness for animals.
Throughout her life, Wanda enjoyed various hobbies and interests, including crafts, sewing, and interior design. She was a dedicated seamstress for 20 years. Among her proudest accomplishments was sewing curtains for the capital in Washington D.C., a testament to her exceptional talent and commitment to her work.
Wanda found joy in the simple pleasures of life, such as watching movies and cooking for others.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Terry Franklin.
She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Kimberly Franklin and Jared Serrano, Sasha Miller, and Heather and Shawn Leatherwood; three grandchildren, Gage Miller, Colton Miller, and Maddyson Leatherwood.
The family will receive friends on Friday, July 25, 2025 from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home Douglas Chapel. Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, July 25, 2025 at 1:00 PM at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home Douglas Chapel. Interment will follow at Mozley Memorial Gardens.
She leaves behind a legacy of kindness and creativity that will be cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Wanda will be deeply missed but fondly remembered for her selflessness and the positive impact she made in the lives of many.
