Wanda Gray Hatch

Wanda Gray Hatch, a beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away peacefully on January 11, 2025, at the age of 63. She departed this life at UNC Chapel Hill after a year of declining health, surrounded by her loving family.
Born on April 13, 1961, Wanda dedicated her life to her family, always putting them first. Her nurturing spirit was evident in her role as a Certified Nursing Assistant, where she cared deeply for those around her. She cherished her time as a devoted wife, mother, and "Maw Maw," finding immense joy in the presence of her family, especially the little ones.
Wanda was preceded in death by her husband, Hubert Owen Hatch; her son, Kevin Wayne Hatch; her father, Alexander Gray; and her brother, Ricky Gray.
Her memory will be cherished by her surviving family: her son, Jason Owen Hatch, and his wife Michelle of Mebane; her mother, Corena Gray of Mebane; her sister, Elaine Foster, and her husband Roy of Mebane; her brothers, Garland Gray and his wife Janet of Graham, and Jeff Gray and his wife Kim of Mebane. She also leaves behind her treasured granddaughter, Alexis Hatch; grandson, Austin Lewis; great-grandchild, Landon; and a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
A funeral service to honor Wanda's life will be held at First Wesleyan Church, located at 304 Anthony Street, Burlington, NC, on Friday, January 17, 2025. Visitation will take place from 11:30 am to 1:00 pm, with the funeral service immediately following. Interment will occur at Lebanon United Methodist Church, 6101 Lebanon Rd, Mebane, NC, directly after the service.
