Wanda Hobbs was born on April 11, 1927. She was born in Sanger, Texas to Carson and Sallie Waide. She had three older sisters: Dorthea, Bethel, and Bernice. She graduated from Sanger High School in 1945 and married Herbert Hobbs Jr. in 1946 in Valley View. The year afterward she gave birth to Sally Ann. The family moved to Fort Worth in 1950. In 1976, Wanda started working at Best Maid where she would work until 2013. She moved to Bedford in 2014. She was a beloved member of the Trinity Baptist Church of Bedford. She was a past district president of the Ladies Auxiliary of the VFW District 21 and a past member of VFW post 9190. She was able to raise money for the children at Trinity Baptist Church. Wanda passed away on December 8, 2024.
Preceded by: husband, Herbert Hobbs Jr.; grandsons, Randy and Mark Weir; and great-granddaughter, Jennifer Gibbons.
Survived by: daughter and son-in-law, Sally and Don Weir; grandkids, Scott and Carrie Weir and Shelly Weir; great-grandchildren, Michelle Blakely, Kristian Weir, Jessica Gibbons, and Celia Weir; and great-great-grandchild, D’Neiko Wilson.
