Wanda Jean Humphrey, 53, of Nicholasville, passed away Sunday, December 8, 2024, in Lexington, Kentucky. She was born in Lancaster, Kentucky, on April 18, 1971, to Bettie Jean Carter Humphrey and the late Robert L. Humphrey. She was a store associate at Walmart for 29 years, having worked all over the store throughout her career. She also attended Nicholasville Christian Church. Wanda is survived by her mother, Bettie Jean Humphrey. She is preceded by her father, Robert Humphrey; special aunt, Dorothy Mae Carter; grandparents, Flossie and Morris Carter; uncle, William Carter; and cousin, Billy Carter. Services will be held at 1:00 PM, Thursday, December 12, at Betts & West Funeral Home with Pastor Lon Oliver officiating. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery, where pallbearers will be Josh Dietrich, Michael Dietrich, Allen Dixon, Joey Comley, Garry Comley, and Jerry Manley. Serving as honorary bearers will be Wanda’s special friend, Tommy Welch (Teresa), Roy Stinnett, Travis Dunn, Adam Culberson, Joe Springfield, and Chris Roscelli. Visitation will be held the evening prior, from 5:00 – 8:00 PM, Wednesday, at the funeral home. Betts & West is honored to serve Wanda and her family in their time of need.
