Wanda Jean Kennedy, born on June 06, 1937 in Caldwell Ohio to the late Dean (Corns) Davies and Rosalie Bailey was peacefully called home to eternal rest by our Lord and savior Jesus Christ on Monday January 20, 2025 at the age of 87.
Wanda's journey in this life- although not always easy - was marked by unwavering faith in God, love and compassion. She spent the greater portion of her life between Canton and Carrollton Ohio raising her family the best she could leading by faith, hope, and love making every attempt to instill positive values and morals along her journey not just to her family, but to all her knew her. Her passing leaves a void to each of those lucky enough to know her. To TRULY know her -was to love her.
Wanda spent much of her life as a dedicated home maker to her family and care giver to her beloved elderly patients in the home health industry. In "retirement" she worked for The Canton Repository delivering each paper with a wave and heartfelt smile providing excellent customer service as publicly recognized by the newspaper itself.
Wanda will be remembered not just for her commitment to her family and her work, but for the joy she brought to those around her with her infectious smile, laughter, and that eye for letting you know her deepest inner thoughts. As her child/grandchild one grew to know what you were doing right or wrong - the eyes don't lie ;)
In her younger years she was an entrepreneur gardening and canning to assist from home to raise her young family. She was also an avid embroiderer, she often filled her home and those closest to her heart with colorful threads and patterns, a reminder of her creative spirit. Wanda had a competitive side and loved to play bingo and card games belonging to a card club in her younger years with her several siblings, her mother, and good friends. She had a knack for cards often making family gatherings memorable.
Above all, Wanda treasured her family. She was preceded in death by her husband Paul Eugene Kennedy, parents Dean (Corns) Davies and Rosalie Corns; step mother Roberta Damon Davies, sons Richard, Anthony, Brian Kennedy; daughter Salina Kennedy; grandson Eric Kennedy, granddaughter Kaylina Kennedy, sister Barbara Tash; and brothers Fred, Mike, Jeff, and Ronnie Corns. She is survived by her sister Betty McCauley, children - Angela Alazaus, Timothy Kennedy (Linda), Greg Kennedy (Janet), and Stephanie Carter (Jeff) grandchildren Tanya, Misty, Tony Jr., Lisa, Jennifer, Christopher, BlayKe, Brayden, and Brycen, along with many cherished great grand children and beloved family too numerous to mention - loved none the less.
