Wanda Christne McAnally

Mrs. Wanda Christne (Coffman) McAnally, 89, of Thorn Hill, was born July 29, 1927 and passed away Jan. 2, 2017 at her home with her family by her side. She was a member of Dotson Campground United Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Omer and Maude (Rosenbalm) Coffman; husband, David Clifton McAnally; grandson, Brent McAnally; brothers, Hobert, Dallas and David Coffman; sister, Mildred Miller; son-in-law, Ronald Merritt.

She is survived by her children, Lamont and Faye McAnally, Maudella Merritt, Randy McAnally, Lagena and Sam Rutherford, Anita McAnally and Greg and Rhonda McAnally; grandchildren, Sabina Elizandro, Kellye McAnally, Doug Mallicoat, Whitney Estes, Dustin McAnally, Ivy Carrier, Tori Mallicoat, Jacob Carrier, Cody McAnally, Randi Lynn McAnally, Tristan McAnally and Ethan McAnally; six great-grandchildren; siblings, Jessee Lee and husband, J.E. Wolfenbarger and Helen Jean Taylor; special caregiver, Sandra Baker; and several nieces, nephews and a host of other loving relatives and friends.

The family would like to extend a very special thank you to the staff of Smokey Mountain Home Health and Hospice for all of their loving care.

The family will receive friends Thursday, Jan. 5 from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Claiborne-Overholt Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in the Claiborne-Overholt Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverends Larry McAnally, Denver Davidson and Bill Nickel officiating. Music will be provided by Anita Harrell and Damon Seal. Burial will follow in the Dotson Campground Cemetery. Pallbearers will be the grandsons.
