Wanda Lee McLeland, 91, of Macon, MO, passed away on Saturday, December 28, 2024, at the Samaritan Hospital in Macon.
Wanda was born on January 16, 1933, in Luray, MO, the daughter of Hollis and Essie Belle (Kerner) Leeper. She was united in marriage to Harold Gene McLeland on June 30, 1951 at the Gorin Baptist Church. Wanda enjoyed her flowers, her dogs and especially spending time with her family.
Wanda is survived by four children, Charles "Chuck" McLeland and his wife Maricin of Warsaw, MO, Donald "Don" McLeland and his wife Sandy of Camdenton, MO, Curt McLeland and his wife Vicky of Macon, and Robin Ausmus and her husband David of Macon, nine grandchildren, Dustin, Leah, Kelly, Chris, Zach, Michele, Tyler, Allison, and Dylan, eighteen great grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews and other extended family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, H. Gene McLeland, on December 14, 2005, three sisters and one brother.
Private graveside service will be Friday, January 3, 2025, at the Jacksonville Veterans Cemetery in Jacksonville, MO. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to the Samaritan Hospital or the R.C.F. Loch Haven Apartments. Arrangements are under the direction of the Hutton & McElwain Funeral Home in Macon, MO.
