Wanda Glen (Hamby) Overton, 79, of Summerville passed away peacefully on Monday, September 15, 2025.

She was a current resident of LaFayette, GA, residing with her daughter Dianna Evatt. Wanda had a great appreciation of family, her beloved dogs (Molly and Trudy), butterflies and humming birds. Her neighbors really enjoyed her love of her extravagant and beautiful flower garden, she would spend hours pruning and caring for her flowers daily. She also enjoyed cooking home style country food for her family and friends, her family says she made the best fried squash!

She was preceded in death by her husband Billy Joe Overton, Mother Louise Hamby, Father Rayford Hamby, infant brother, grandchildren Ian Overton and Abigail Evatt. Survivors include her brother; Sidney Hamby (Joyce Gentry); her children, Mondee Ratledge (Joe), Dianna Evatt, Shannon Evatt (Lisa), and Bradly Overton (Sandy); her grandchildren, Kelly Simpson (Aaron), Emerald Dunn, Brooklyn Overton, and Landon Overton; her grate grandchildren, Rayne Teems (Payton), Ansley Blalock, Jax Brannon and Jameson Crowder; great great grandchildren, Parker Teems and Asher Teems.
