Wanda Plinsky Obituary
Wanda Plinsky, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away on October 8, 2023, at the age of 93. She was born on February 28, 1930, to James and Olive McGeary in Beverly, Kansas.
Wanda was a remarkable woman who dedicated her life to raising her wonderful family. She took great pride in her role as a loving wife to her husband Darrell Plinsky and as a devoted mother to her children David (Marie) Plinsky, Tim (Karen) Plinsky, Carlton Plinsky, Lori (Steven) Pryor, and Gretchen (Roy) Snowden.
Wanda cherished the company of her loved ones and enjoyed playing card games with them. Her warm presence always brought joy to those around her. She had a special bond with her grandchildren Jamie, Jeff, Heidi, Michael, Holly, Brandon, Kyle, Alexis, Grant and her 17 great-grandchildren. Wanda cherished every moment spent with them and created lasting memories that will be forever treasured.
Wanda and her husband, Darrell loved hosting game nights at their house that many friends and family enjoyed over the years. Wanda also was known to many as Mrs. P through her role as a secretary for Christian Challenge School. Wanda found solace in the Cornerstone Bible Church in Wichita. Her strong faith provided comfort during challenging times and allowed her to find peace in community worship.
Friends and relatives are invited to pay their respects to Wanda at Broadway Mortuary located at 1147 S. Broadway in Wichita on October 20th from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Following this gathering will be a funeral service held on October 21st at Cornerstone Bible Church, 2535 N. Amidon in Wichita. The service will start at 10:30 AM and interment will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery, 1000 N. Hillside in Wichita.
