Wanda "Renee" Raper, age 60, of Athens, passed away peacefully on October 15, 2024, at the Memorial Hospital of Chattanooga. Renee was preceded in death by her parents, Dale Raper and Wanda Norwood, as well as her beloved children, Chris Raper and Angela Raper.
She leaves behind her sons, Brandon Raper and Ryan Hicks, her cherished grandchildren, Jasen, Nicolas, Austin, and Trinity. A special friend, Blair Cayler, provided comfort and companionship throughout her life. Renee is also survived by her sisters, Sandra Davis and Julie Simbeck, and her stepfather, Dennis Norwood.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, October 28, 2024 at 6pm at Ascension Life Church. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 5 to 6pm. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Women at the Well, a cause close to Renee's heart.
