Wanda Schell, age 80, of London, Kentucky passed away on Tuesday, April 2, 2024.
She leaves behind her loving husband of 61 years, Oliver Schell; two children, James Schell & wife Michelle, Teresa Jones & husband Phillip, all of London, KY; two siblings, Kathleen Cansler of Dyer, IN, James Church of Middletown, OH; three grandchildren, Jeremy Schell & wife Tiffany, Justin Schell & wife Alexa, Ryan Jones; two great grandchildren, Mallory Schell, Mavis Schell; plus a host of other family and friends to mourn her passing.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John Henry & Ida Roberts Church.
Wanda dedicated over two decades of her life to Micro Devices, where she served as a revered group leader. She was not only a respected colleague but also a mentor to many, leaving an indelible mark on all who had the privilege of working alongside her.
Beyond her professional achievements, Wanda was an avid reader whose love for literature knew no bounds. Her passion for books was infectious, inspiring those around her to explore the world through the pages of countless stories.
However, above all else, Wanda cherished her family. She found her greatest joy in spending time with her children and grandchildren, creating cherished memories that will be treasured forever. Her unconditional love and unwavering support were the foundation upon which her family thrived.
Wanda's kindness, wisdom, and gentle spirit touched the lives of all who knew her. She will be profoundly missed by her family, friends, and colleagues. Though she may no longer be with us in person, her memory will live on in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing her.
Funeral services for Wanda Schell will be held on Friday, April 5, 2024 at 12:00 p.m. in the chapel of House-Rawlings Funeral Home with Johnny Schell officiating. Burial will follow at the Schell Family Cemetery in London, Kentucky. Serving as the pallbearers will be friends and family. The family will receive friends on Thursday, April 4, 2024 beginning at 6:00 p.m. also at the funeral home. The family has entrusted House-Rawlings Funeral Home with the arrangements.
