Wanette Bernice Wilson, age 84, of the Scott Community, passed away on Tuesday, December 24, 2024, at Fairview Park Hospital surrounded by her family.
Mrs. Wilson was born on September 2, 1940. She attended Mt. Olive Church of the Nazarene her entire life. She married the love of her life, Willie J. Wilson, at 15 years old and shared 57 beautiful years together. She had a great love for her family, church and God. She enjoyed shopping, reading and getting her hair done. She had a sweet smile for everyone, a big heart and a laugh to light up the room. She also had a sassy side. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents C. Harvey and Elma Conaway Soles, her siblings and her great granddaughter, Addilyn Wilson.
She is survived by her 3 sons, Wendell Wilson of Adrian, Danny Wilson of Scott and Tim Wilson of Atlanta, 9 grandchildren, Wendy (Alex) Franks, Andy (Claudia) Wilson, Matt Wilson, Johnny (Tammy) Wilson, Jeremy Wilson, Tyler Wilson, and Jamie (Shannon) Juarez, Mitchell (Samantha) Brantley, Cole Mizell and Scottie Knapp, 17 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great grandchildren. The family would like to thank her devoted friends, Shirley Sumner and Grayson Wilson for the love they have shown their mother.
Funeral services will be held at 11:30 A.M. Saturday, December 28, 2024, at Mt. Olive Church of the Nazarene with interment to follow in the church cemetery. Rev. Alex Franks and Rev. Caleb Soles officiating.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 A.M. to 11:15 A.M. on Saturday, December 28, 2024, at the church prior to the service.
Pallbearers will be Jason Brantley, Dennis Wilson, James Nelson, Clark Nelson, Jarrod Rowland and Lanny Soles.
Stanley Funeral Home and Crematory/Wrightsville Chapel has charge of funeral arrangements.
