Warren David Gilbert, 77 of Pineville, passed away on Wednesday, November 26, 2025, at the Tri State Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Harrogate. He was born in Harlan on July 26, 1948, the son of the late Olan Gilbert and Willie Mae Brock Kelton. Warren was a believer in the Holiness Faith and a member of the Bell Masonic Lodge #691. He had worked as a Coal Miner in the Strip Mines.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Douglas Warren Gilbert, and sister, Vanessa Kelton Roech.
Warren is survived by his wife of 53 years, Syvella Gambrel Gilbert; granddaughter, Sarah Nicole Gilbert Byrd and her husband, Nathan; grandson, Aaron Douglas Gilbert and Katelyn Delk; great-grandson, Nathan Douglas Byrd; daughter-in-law, Roberta Lawson; brother, Bobby Carr and wife, Judy; sister, Loretta Carr; niece, Ashely Mills; and a host of other family and friends.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM on Sunday November 30, 2025, at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home with Rev. Van Johnson and Rev. Anthony Gambrel presiding. Burial will follow at the Pinelawn Memorial Gardens in Pineville with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends on Sunday from 12:00 PM until the funeral hour at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Pineville, which is honored to serve the Gilbert Family. Light a candle of remembrance and sign the guest register at www.arnettsteele.com.
