Warren E. "Bub" Miller, 88 of Lansing NY passed away Thursday, January, 30, 2025 at the Guthrie Cortland Nursing facility in Cortland, NY.
Bub was one of four children born to the late George and Lynn Signor Miller of Groton. In addition to his parents, Bub was pre-deceased by his first wife Mabel Landon d.2005, his second wife of 50 years, Betty J Miller d.2013, his siblings Edward Miller d.2006, Ruth Walker d.2023, Dorothy Cornelius d.2023, two sons, Mitchell Miller d.1960, Glenn Miller d. 2011, and two step sons Jerry Holloway d.2004, David Holloway d.2024.
Bub was a long time resident of Lansing, running a small business 'Miller's Auto Body' for many years and working a small farm raising black angus cows. He had previously worked for Smith Corona in Groton, Highway Materials in Lansing, and Ripley Motors in Ithaca. Bub was a volunteer with the Lansing Fire Department and served as Captain at Company 3 station for a time. Bub had many interests over the years including motorcycles, racing, snowmobiling, hunting, camping, gardening, and woodworking. Bub enjoyed helping others. He was a skilled welder and would help anyone who stopped by with something to fix. Bub loved interacting with his family, friends and neighbors and always had a story to tell of his many experiences through life, doing so with a genuine smile and shared chuckle.
Bub is survived by two sons Jeffrey Miller and Michael Miller, step-daughter Gloria Bowman, 11 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 2 pm on Saturday, February 8, 2025 at Perkins Funeral Home, 55 W. Main St., Dryden NY. A time for visitation will be held from 1-2 pm. Burial at West Groton Cemetery will be scheduled for a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Tompkins County SPCA.
