Warren H. Treece Sr.

Warren H. Treece, age 103, of Dayton, Ohio, was born on July 19, 1922, in Wayside, Kansas, to the late Arthur and Georgianna Treece. On February 15, 1944, at the age of 21, Warren enlisted in the United States Army. He proudly served his country during World War II and the Korean War before transferring to the United States Air Force. On January 20, 1961, Warren married Dorothy Mae Treece in Savannah, Georgia.

After 30 years of dedicated military service, Warren retired on March 1, 1975. Following his retirement from the military, he enrolled in the Dayton Police Academy. After graduating, he joined the University of Dayton Police Department. During his time at the University of Dayton, Warren pursued higher education and earned a Bachelor of General Studies degree.

Warren was a devoted member of Wayman AME Church, where he faithfully served as a senior member of the Men of Wayman Chapter, head of security, and an adult Sunday School teacher.

Warren was a loving, caring, generous, and devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle, and friend. He was kind-hearted and loved by everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him. He enjoyed sharing his war stories with anyone who would listen. In his spare time, Warren loved fishing and hunting, and he also collected coins and guns.

On Wednesday February 18, 2026 Warren transitioned from his life to be in the presence of the lord. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Mae Treece; daughters, Cynthia Treece-Jones, Betty Jean Inge, and Patricia Ann Treece; daughter in law, Nikol Boddie-Treece; brothers, Arthur Ernest Clarence Treece, Alfred Hardy Treece, Fred Harper Treece, and Godfrey Treece; sisters, Loritha Maude Adair Treece, Alma Treece, Marie Lee Owens-Treece, Matilda Treece, and Harriet Treece.

He leaves to cherish precious memories and celebrate his legacy: (2) sons, Warren Treece II of Dayton, Oh, Roy (Antoinette) Treece of Dayton, Oh; (11) grandchildren, VaShan (Coilette) Inge of Fairburn, Ga, Chanel (Kenneth) Greenwood of Vacaville, Ca, Warren Treece III of Dayton, Oh, Micah (Vashyra) Cannon of Dayton, Oh, Da'Lisa (Brandon) Turner of Dayton, Oh, Aaron Treece of Dayton, Oh, Eja Boddie of Nashville, Tn, Zora Boddie of Dayton, OH, Shenae Jones of Phoenix, Az, Brittany (Karl Allwood) Jones of Phoenix, Az, and Cynthia Jones of Phoenix, Az, a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other loving relatives and friends.
