Waunda Querdibitty Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Smith Funeral Home - Anadarko on Jun. 17, 2024.
Waunda Lea (Reeder) Querdibitty was born in Binger, Oklahoma, on July 31, 1927, to Tecumseh and Martha (Spybuck) Reeder, and passed away on June 14, 2024, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
Waunda was born and raised on a farm in the Binger area, and graduated from Binger High School. She went on to marry the love of her life, Jed Querdibitty in November of 1951. From that union were born their four children, Dennis, Terry, Karen, and Denise.
Waunda was known for her intricate beadwork. She loved to work on puzzles and sit out on her porch. Elvis was her man and she loved collecting his memorabilia. Her favorite birthday activity was enjoying Elvis impersonators at her huge birthday bashes that everyone showed up to. But above all else, Waunda was all about family. They were very important to her.
Waunda was preceded in death by her parents, Tecumseh and Martha Reeder, her son, Dennis Querdibitty, her brother, Algernon Reeder, and her sisters, Lorena Butler and Delcia Hodge.
Waunda's memory will live on through her son, Terry Querdibitty and partner, Beverly Cooley of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, her daughters, Karen Contreras and husband, Lewis Contreras of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and Denise Querdibitty of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, her grandchildren, Stacia Kelly, Tonya Kelly, Destiny Coates, Justin Rupe, Adria Castro, Dyonne Querdibitty, and Aaron Querdibitty, and 10 Great- Grandchildren.
A funeral service to honor Waunda is set to begin at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, June 17, 2024, at the Caddo Cultural Complex in Binger, Oklahoma. Waunda will be laid to rest following the service at the Murray/Binger Cemetery in Binger, Oklahoma.
Services are under the direction of Stephanie Blankenship of Smith Funeral Services. Condolences can be made to the family online at www.smithfuneralservices.com.
