Wayne Ade Obituary
Wayne was born January 24, 1934, in Lafayette, IN, to the late Carl and Mildred (DeBoy) Ade. He proudly served his country in the United States Army from 1956-1958.
Wayne owned and operated Ade's Service Station for 45 years. He was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church. He enjoyed reading, boating, water skiing, Sudoku and walking the mall.
Surviving are his siblings: Larry Ade and Joyce (Steve) Schurr; nieces and nephews: Tammy (husband, Robert) Morman, Carla (Cris) Ade, Anthony Ade, and Tracy (husband, Tony) Phebus; 13 great nieces and nephews; and 11 great-great nieces and nephew.
Wayne is preceded in passing by his parents and brother Donald Ade.
Visitation will be held from 10am – 11am on Friday, January 2, 2026 at Hippensteel Funeral Home. Funeral service will begin at 11am. Interment will follow at Tippecanoe Memory Gardens. In lieu of usual remembrances, memorial contributions may be directed to the American Heart Association. Share memories and condolences online at www.hippensteelfuneralservice.com

I have fond memories of having my vehicles worked on by Wayne and Don. The Ade family is part of what made Lafayette a special place to live. They were very honest and fair. I enjoyed talking with them. When I drive down Schuyler Avenue I remember them. God bless. Nathan Hazelgrove.
