Larry was born on May 17, 1946, in Marianna. He attended Callaway Assembly of God and worked as a Supervisor at the Panama City paper mill for 37 years. Larry's greatest joy in life was spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was the greatest "Poppy" that they could ever have. Larry will be sorely missed, as he was dearly loved and respected by all.

Left to treasure his memory is his wife of 59 years, Carolyn Adkins; daughter, Cindy Fenaes (Brian); son, Larry, Jr.; grandchildren, Josh Emmanuel, Samantha Wadlow (Christopher), Emilee Burchette (Reed) and Savannah Pardue (Zach); great-grandchildren, Levi, Vivian, Wade, Mollie, Harvey and Iris; sister, Helen Schwartz; brother, Lester Adkins; sister-in-law, Linda Swafford; and numerous loved nephews and nieces.
A funeral service will take place on Monday, August 5, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. at Heritage Funeral Home, with Pastor Tim Stephens and Pastor Roger Stone officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Mount Hope Cemetery (Lynn Haven Cemetery).
