Thurman Wayne "Dog" Alsbrooks 81, of Providence, passed away Thursday July 18, 2024 at his home. He was born on December 29, 1942.
He graduated from Providence High School in 1962 where he was active in sports and especially basketball and still holds the record for the most points scored in a single game. He was retired from Whirlpool after 42 years and was member of Second Baptist Church in Providence, KY. He is preceded in death by his wife Sharon Alsbrooks, 1 daughter Shari Alsbrooks and 1 son Steve Alsbrooks, 3 brothers Rex, Leroy and Jerry Alsbrooks
Survivors include special family members Marcie (Danny) Whitledge and granddaughter Meredith Kelley.
Graveside services will be Sunday July 21, 2024 at 2:30 PM at Corinth Cemetery in Providence KY with Brother Ralph Alexander officiating. Visitation will be from 2:00 PM till service time at the cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Memorial Processing 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-9959
