Wayne Boucher, age 79, passed away on September 1, 2023 at St. Vincent with his family by his side. He was born on October 23, 1943 in the town of Red River the son of the late Bert and Lorraine (Wery) Boucher. Wayne was known by many whether as friends or just by name. He was a man of many stories, with a laugh that will not be forgotten. He loved his horses, dogs, and could fix anything! Whether it was a semi, tractor, car, lawn mower, or horse. Wayne was always there to help anyone in need; from plowing out his neighborhood of 50 years, helping someone take down trees, or spreading gravel for someone at their house. If he was needed he was there to give his advice. Wayne drove a semi and ran a trucking company for the majority of his life as well as showing horses. He liked hitting the casino, cruising the taverns with his canine companion Sammy, and going on trail rides with the horses on the weekends.
Wayne will be missed by his two children: Allen (Nancy Schmid) Boucher and Jamie ( Andy) Swienton; two grandchildren: Andrew and Hunter Swienton; sister, Yvonne Herlache, two sisters-in-law, Barbara (Russell) Denneau and Mary Devereaux, and further survived by many nieces, nephews, and dear friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Sandra, sister, Cynthia (Delano) Jansen, two brothers-in-law: Finnley Herlache and Patrick Devereaux, nephew, Jim Devereaux.
Friends and family may visit at St. Joseph Catholic Parish, 5996 Cty Road K, New Franken, on Saturday, September 23, 2023 from 9:00 am until 11:00 am with a Mass to follow at 11:00 am.
