Wayne Fred Bozik

Wayne Fred Bozik, 83, of Troy, MO, passed away on February 25, 2024, at his home, surrounded by his loving wife and family. He was born on February 3, 1941, in Aurora, IL to Fred and Julia (Gapsevich) Bozik. Wayne attended the local schools, along with his siblings. He was united in marriage with Susan (McDonough) on September 18, 1982, at Holy Angels Catholic Church in Aurora, IL. Wayne was a hard-working man and supported his family as a butcher, and later as a truck driver. As long as his health permitted, he was restoring small boats, making cabinets and decks to go around the pool and hot tub. In his later years, Wayne would build model boats and even customize them, with things around the house. He loved his wife, children, and grandchildren; he enjoyed spending as much time with them as he could. Wayne will be sadly missed and long remembered by all those who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 42 years, Susan Bozik of Troy, MO, children, Shelly (Donald) Cruz of Batavia, IL, Mark (Vickie) Bozik of North Aurora, IL., John (Denise) Bozik of Longwood, FL and Ed Komperda of Castle Rock, Colorado, grandchildren, Donald Cruz, Lexie (Brett) Dodson, Matt Bozik, Dylan Komperda, Maddie Bozik, Nikki Bozik, Dani Bozik, Dalton Komperda and Landon Komperda, siblings, LaVergne Cook and Eunice Johns, many other relatives and friends.
Wayne was preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Katherine Bozik and sister, Bernardine.
Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, March 23, 2024 from 9:30 am-230 pm. at their residence. A Prayer Service – March 23, 2024 at 10 a.m. at their residence. Father Edward Voltz to officiate.
