Mr. Wayne Brand

Mr. Wayne Brand, age 88, of Covington passed away Monday, April 1, 2024. He was born August 22, 1935 in Lawrenceville to Eugene and Tempie Brand who have preceded him in death. Mr. Brand was a graduate of Stone Mountain High School and served in the United States Air Force Reserves. He was a mechanic and owned Wayne Brand Garage for many years. Mr. Brand also drove a school bus for Gwinnett County Schools. He enjoyed bowling, classic cars, boating, and skiing. Mr. Brand was a longtime member of Red Oak United Methodist Church. Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his brother Jerry Brand.
Mr. Brand is survived by his wife of 66 years Myrna Brand; his sons Mike Brand (Ann) of Covington, David Brand of McDonough, and Brad Brand (Monica) of Loganville; his grandchildren Jeremy, Blake, Jessica, and Alex; his great grandchildren Wyatt and Charlie; along with numerous other family members and many close friends.
Funeral services for Mr. Brand will be held at 1 o'clock Thursday, April 4, 2024 at Historic Red Oak Church with Mr. Larry Bowers officiating. Interment will follow at the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at J.C. Harwell and Son Funeral Home on Wednesday, April 3, 2024 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
