Wayne Chavis Obituary
Wayne was an accomplished drywall professional, after being trained and mentored by the best in the skill, his father. Wayne worked in the drywall industry since his teenage years, and the work of his hands can be seen in multiple states, Including North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia and Virginia. His infectious smile and bright personality could light up a room, and his love and commitment for family was unmatched.
In addition to his parents, Wayne is preceded in death by his wife, Annette Chavis and his brother, Patrick Chavis.
He is survived by his brothers, Kenneth Roderick Chavis and Luther Bunyan Chavis; two sons, Bryant Locklear and Brandon Scott Locklear; two grandsons, Bryant Locklear, Jr. and Briylon Drake Brayboy Locklear; two aunts, Mary Carter and Elmer Carter Blackburn, several nieces and nephews and countless extended family and friends.
