Wayne Clift

Wayne Nathaniel "Danny" Clift, 71, a native of Soddy-Daisy, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, February 23, 2025. He lived in Dalton, Georgia the last 35 years. He was of the Baptist faith. Wayne worked for Southeastern Communications with 39 years of service. In his younger years, he enjoyed coaching softball for his daughters in Hixson. He cherished spending time with his family. A very likeable person, Wayne enjoyed cutting up with people and had a great sense of humor. He was preceded in death by his father, Carl Snyder; uncles, Buddy, Claude and Billy Ray Cummings and aunt, Linda Howard.
Survivors are his life partner, Reba Storey; daughters, Tracy Davis (Mark) and Stacy Powell (Mark); mother, Wilma Snyder; siblings, Ray Clift, Debbie Agee (Ronnie), Lisa Matney (Ron), Claude Snyder (Tonya); grandchildren, Jessica Foutch (Jordan), Marissa Barber; step grandsons, Jeff Davis and Grayson Davis; great granddaughter, Emma Foutch; special loved ones, Coby, Lanna, Anna and Justin Buffington, Amberley and Preston Wall; aunt, Charlotte Hensley (Hershel) and extended family.
Visitation will be on Saturday, March 1, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Services will be on Saturday, March 1, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Ray Knittle officiating. Burial will follow at Johnson Cemetery.
