Wayne Collins Obituary
Wayne was born December 16, 1945 in Lapeer, Michigan to Thomas and Audrey Collins. He married Darlene Ruth Fisher on August 16, 1985. Wayne retired in 2000 from General Motors after working 30 years. He enjoyed his John Deere riding lawn mowers. He mowed the lawn every chance he got. Wayne had a hobby farm and raised horses, pigs, goats, chickens, emus, llamas and pheasants at one time or another. He loved old cars and trucks. Wayne was a member of the Mayville Eagles for awhile. He liked listening to the swap shop on the radio. He hosted a pig roast every year. Wayne and his GM buddies enjoyed Flint coneys and rum and cokes.
Wayne is survived by his wife, Darlene,; children, Skip (Rachel) Collins and Barbie (Jeff) Withey; grandchildren, Tiffany (Rick) Hyde, Keaton (Alissa) Collins and Conner (Carleigh) Collins; great grandchildren, Lily, Conner Jr., Raven, Natalie and Lainey; his dog, Goober.
Wayne was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Howard, Lola and Joyce.
A Celebration of Life is being planned for a later date.
